Harbour

What to expect

The Harbour has two top-rope anchors and one sport route that follows a crack. The area below the climb is clear and dry.

You get a nice view from back bay.

Directions by Car

Drive and park at the Yellowknife Ski Club. Follow the ski trail north until you see the “Le Loup” sign. Cut off to your right and follow the path down to the lake. The total distance is about 700 metres.

Bring a bug shirt for the hike in. The bugs usually get better once you're at the crag with the breeze coming from the lake.

Routes

The crack is bolted; difficulty around 5.10

Use top-rope anchor (climber left) for slab section; difficulty around 5.8

The second anchor (climber right) has two routes, both around 5.9

The official names of the routes are :

1. Long Trip
2. Bismark
3. French Cat
4. Jolie Dalle
5. Canadien

Unfortunately the knowledge of which routes are which has been lost - let us know if you can identify them!
